Days prior to the Horrific Texas floods, NOAA abruptly lost communications with key satellites

• Among the satelites NOAA lost communications with was the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP)..

• DMSP provides critical microwave imagery used for tracking storm intensification, including rapid changes in precipitation and structure that are vital for forecasting severe weather events like….. flash floods and hurricanes.
