Presidential advisor and former News Hour contributor David Gergen has died at the age of XX after being diagnosed with Lewy body dementia.

Throughout his career, Gergen served four presidents, both Democrats and Republicans, and spent many Friday nights offering his insights and analysis on the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour.
