As far as i can find infirmation, Andrea Russo, a 35-year-old man with a history of drug problems, took his own life by jumping into a jet engine of a taxiing Volotea Airbus A319 at Milan Bergamo Airport on July 8, 2025, around 10:35 a.m. He entered the terminal without a ticket, evaded Border Police, and ran onto the tarmac before throwing himself into the engine, causing a loud noise and leading to flight diversions, cancellations, and a temporary suspension of airport operations.
