Just a year ago, voting took place in Bihar as well as across India. During that time, the voter list was reviewed, new voters were added, old voters were removed, and there is a standard procedure for this across the country. However, the proactive approach with which the Election Commission is adopting before the upcoming assembly elections, the kind of documents they are demanding, is not feasible in Jammu and Kashmir... This suggests that the Election Commission is hatching some conspiracy to deprive crores of people of their voting rights... A question arises: just about a year ago, under the old procedure, people voted in the Lok Sabha elections. The current government received a significant majority from Bihar. If those voters were valid then, why is there talk of declaring them invalid just 8-9 months later?..."
