The Nairobi–Nakuru–Mau Summit Highway PPP has advanced, with two PIPs approved on July 2, 2025, to enter the Project Development Phase.

The 231km project, part of the Northern Corridor & Trans-African Highway, saw proposals from CRBC–NSSF and Shandong SDRBI consortia.
