A new meta-analysis of XX studies on collagen supplements for skin aging just landed, and its results aren't good news for the longevity gurus pushing bone broth. When researchers looked at ALL studies, collagen improved skin hydration, elasticity, and wrinkles. However, when they separated the studies by funding source, a pattern emerged. Industry-funded studies showed "significant benefits," while independent studies showed no effect. The same thing happened when they looked at study quality. High-quality studies found no benefits, while low-quality studies did.
