National health insurance (e.g. Medicare) is NOT government run healthcare. Private hospitals deliver care, Medicare just pays for it.

Just like SNAP provides EBT cards for use at grocers and bodegas, but doesn’t own the stores.

Governments should focus on doing the basics better, like public safety, filling potholes, issuing driver’s licenses, and improving schools before becoming grocers.
