NEW: Man rescues six people, four of them being children, from a sixth-floor ledge in a burning apartment building in Paris, France.

39-year-old Fousseynou Cissé was seen risking his own life to save six people, two of whom were infants.

"There were lives at stake. I didn’t calculate; it was instinct," Cissé said in an interview after the incident.

The act caught President Emmanuel Macron's attention, who personally called Cissé, thanking him for his quick thinking and bravery.
