A deep stall, also known as a super stall, is a hazardous condition primarily affecting T-tail aircraft, where a stall leads to a significant loss of elevator authority, making recovery difficult or impossible. It occurs when the wing’s angle of attack exceeds the critical angle (typically 15°–20°), causing turbulent airflow that disrupts the horizontal stabilizer and elevators. This turbulence can also affect rear-mounted engines, potentially causing engine stall or surge. T-tail aircraft often use stick pusher systems to prevent reaching such high angles of attack.
So your guess is right
