🚨 MAYDAY! DELTA FLIGHT ENGINE FAILS OVER THE ATLANTIC - XXX PASSENGERS STRANDED XX HOURS ON REMOTE MILITARY ISLAND

At XXXXXX ft over the North Atlantic Ocean, Delta Flight 9927 suffered an engine failure and declared MAYDAY mid-air.  

On July 6th, the jet diverted to Lajes Field, a military airbase on Terceira Island in the Azores - XXXXX miles from Europe.

No hotel. No backup plan. No escape.
Just XX hours stuck on a base not built for this.

Delta had to send a rescue plane from JFK hours later.
Same place this happened in 2023. Still no fix.

Fly safe? You’re one engine away from being stranded in the middle of the ocean.
