Mathieu van der Poel’s late grandfather and one of the biggest cyclists in history Raymond Poulidor who was on the Tour de France podium X times during his career, but despite these consistent top finishes, Poulidor never wore the yellow jersey during the Tour, a fact that contributed to his reputation as “the eternal second. 

And now he helped his grandson being better by one second to get that famous yellow. 💛 #TDF2025
