Let's follow this line of reasoning through (because it's a legitimate position to take).

Assume your underlying premise is correct, what would happen if Bongino and Patel resign? 

It would indicate that the Trump admin is totally corrupt / co-opted / not in control. That other forces are at play and in control.

Can we agree that to do that would basically destroy Trump's presidency? Cost the mid-terms and 2028?

If we don't agree on that, we can agree do disagree. 

If we do agree on that, then you are suggesting that Dan and Kash do something to destroy the administration they agreed to work with to help America.

So that act of "honesty" or "principle" - if you want to call it that - would actually be disastrous for the people and country they signed up to help.

So one could imagine there is good reason from their own commitment to country why they could not do that even assuming they wanted to.

*all of this is speculative and my own personal opinion.
