Twice President Macron explains the relationship between Brexit and small boat crossings which began after Brexit

First, he says that the British people were sold a lie with Brexit

Then he says, "Many people in your country (i.e. Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson) explained that Brexit would make it possible to fight more effectively against illegal immigration, but since Brexit, the UK has no migratory agreement with the EU" - the opposite of what they promised

Macron also points out that for every £1 the UK gives to France to tackle small boats, the French spend €3
