I ignored it, because I know the drill. But a few minutes later, the moderators created a thread in the discord. Everything looked legit. Polite, clear, even used proper formatting. They told me MetaMask was having issues and asked me to use Coinbase Wallet instead — and sent a “setup link.” The link looked professional. Believe Me You Can't differentiate In A First glance no matter what so well made But I didn’t click import. I downloaded the actual Coinbase app and tried again. Still didn’t work. I went back and said it’s still broken. That’s when something felt… off. So I asked @grok — and yes it was a scam website Turns out the scammer had changed their name and profile pic to match a real mod. I couldn’t believe it. First image is the scammer last one is moderators Luckily, I never entered my seed phrase. But man… it was close. Moral of the story: **Never trust links.** No matter how real it looks, always verify — or just ask someone public.
