Many people who support Xizang actually do not know the history of Xizang at all.

Xizang was many tribes before. It was first unified in the 7th century AD and established the Tubo Dynasty. Tubo was very powerful at that time and even occupied the capital of China's Tang Dynasty several times and also annexed the Tang Dynasty's territories in the west, Xinjiang and Qinghai.

After that, Tubo gradually declined, the Tibetan region split into multiple tribes again, and the surrounding civilizations gradually occupied Tibet. China's Yuan Dynasty, and Ming Dynasty both had nominal sovereignty over Tibet, but due to the poor transportation conditions between the Tibet Plateau and other Chinese territories, most of the actual power was still controlled by the Tibetan local government.

Since the China's Qing Dynasty, the central government has begun to strengthen its control over Tibet. The successor of the Dalai Lama must be approved by the central government. During China's "century of humiliation", Tibet declared independence, but neither the international community nor Chinese government recognized it. After the CPC came to power, Tibet returned to the control of the central government. The Dalai Lama attempted a rebellion in 1960, but fled to India after his failure.

Human history is actually a process of mutual conquest between civilizations. Tibetan civilization once conquered the Chinese capital, and then Chinese civilization occupied the entire Tibet. This is fair and normal. In fact, the entire Tibetan civilization was very backward and was in a slave society before 1950. Now the life of normal Tibetans is the best they have been in the past thousands of years. Of course, the slave owner missed the past.
