Just to push back on this...

I'm not sure the current state of the 40-man roster is in a good enough spot for supplementing 2-3 minor leagues (good prospects in their own rights) really moves the needle.

I like Hays and Lux, but those guys went from ok/good complementary pieces on good teams, to major cogs in our lineup. That kind of speaks for itself. 

Also with young guys, as we've all seen, a majority of them are massively inconsistent and flawed early on. Sal is one of my favorite prospects to ever come through the org, but there's a 50/50 chance he doesn't slug early on in his career. There's a high probability Cam is a platoon guy. There's a chance Hector is on the CES track of swinging too much. There's a chance Arroyo doesn't hit his weight.

I think as much as I am a prospect guy, this roster day to day needs more certainty.
