Nigerian home decor ideas The Nigerian mother who recently sparked outrage online after a video showed her allegedly feeding her baby with alcohol has come forward to clarify the incident. The controversial video, which circulated widely last week, showed the woman feeding her five-month-old baby from a sachet labelled โAction Bitters,โ with a caption suggesting it was given every night to make the child sleep. The Nigeria Police Force subsequently launched an investigation into the incident, as many Nigerians called for her arrest over concerns of child abuse. However, in a new video which started trending on Wednesday, the unidentified mother claimed that she did not give her child alcohol but rather Coca-Cola, which she had poured into an empty Action Bitters sachet. She insisted the act was staged purely for โcontentโ to attract engagement online and said she had video evidence showing when she washed the sachet and filled it with Coke. To support her claim, she said she had another video showing the moment she filled the sachet with the soft drink. โAbout the video I posted earlier, that is not Action Bitters. It is Coke. I poured Coke into the sachet. Since I posted the video, people have been dragging me on social media,โ she said. โTo be sincere, it was Coke I poured into the Action Bitters sachet. I even have a video on my phone showing when I was doing it. โMy baby is just five months old. I would never give her Action Bitters. I am not that kind of mother. I do not even take it myself. The mother admitted she underestimated the backlash and said the video was simply a failed attempt at creating viral content. โTo clear the air, it was Coke I poured into the sachet, and I washed it before using it. I was just trying to create content, nothing more.
