The idea of knowingly promoting alternative medicine treatments that don’t work beyond the placebo effect unethically embraces an approach to health care that encourages deception and ignores the scientific evidence. This ethical quagmire is illustrated nicely by my friend @caulfieldtim, who coined the “two-hats fallacy,” which I wrote about here: 😊👍
