$TLT At its last meeting, the Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate in a range of XXXX% to 4.5%. That's too high for President Donald Trump, whose latest jawboning of the central bank came Wednesday morning.

"Our Fed Rate is AT LEAST X points too high," Trump said in a post on his social-media platform, Truth Social. It followed another Fed-related post in which he said simply "ANYBODY BUT 'TOO LATE'" — one of his names for Fed chief Jerome Powell.

Trump's latest missive comes as betting markets are moving towards White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett to be picked to succeed Powell, following a new Wall Street Journal article describing possible picks.
