IM+NE China will supply "clean energy" to BJ's surrounding area to enable the industries that are looking to transform. Its taking advantage of this w/ proximity, pipelines & high renewable potential.

In many ways, China's North/Central provinces are now in better position to take advantage of green energy transition bc they are close to areas like IM w/ the lowest green energy cost.

Southern/Coastal provinces have to rely on less efficient onshore solar/wind resources (due to less sun & more rain) or offshore wind to get green energy. That's just not as economically competitive as energy coming out of IM.
