I have finished a deep-dive into SBI Holdings $8473.JT $SBHGF, a Japanese financial services firm. Besides exquisite execution over the last few years, the company presents bright prospects and huge optionalities via its X% stake in Crypto-firm Ripple Labs Inc, backer of the $XRP coin, which is said to IPO at a huge valuation, as it resolves its legal pendencies with the SEC. Ripple aside, $8473.JT trades at 1x book and a P/E XX of 7x, pretty undemanding if you consider that guidance calls for 15%+ EPS growth through 2028. Addtly, the company is currently raising capital from NTT to payoff SBI Shinsei Bank’s old govt rescue loans (via the repurchase of preferred stock) to seek an IPO of the subsidiary as soon as Sept, as per Reuters. It is worth keeping an eye out on the stock.
