Ghana’s tax system is already heavy across multiple sectors:
• The standard corporate tax rate is XX%
• Mining and petroleum companies pay XX%
• The hotel industry is taxed at XX%
• Banks including agriculture and leasing loans, and lottery operators pay XX%
• Non-traditional exports are taxed at X%
• Manufacturers get some relief with reduced rates of XXXX% in regional capitals and XXXX% outside major cities
• Free Zone companies pay X% for the first XX years, then XX% on exports and XX% on local sales

With all these taxes collected internally, it’s frustrating that we still struggle to fund basic infrastructure like building markets. Politics in Ghana? I’m glad I stayed out of it, The more you talk about it, the more it drains you.
