Sorry for being extreme, i had to get your attention; it's true though Large Language Models(LLMs) are probably responsible for most of your day-to-day interactions with AI, Won't know much about AI without knowledge on how it works. It's a lot but I'll try to explain it as simply and as short as I can. -- What's LLM? LLMs are like supercomputers designed to understand and generate human-like language, Which means, they typically think & communicate the way you & I do. -- How do they do this? They're built using neural networks that are trained on massive sets of data (Billions & Trillions) actually like: - Books - Websites - Articles... you name it, just about anything in text format. Neural networks are algorithms that detect patterns in the way a human brain does btw -- How LLMs work→ There are two ways to explain this; A technical method and a non-technical method, as this is non-technical content I'd go with the second. Take LLMs as a child and this child is taught how to speak by reading every book, article, transcript, and conversation ever written, (I don't wish to be that child rn lol) Eventually, the child will start recognising patterns in language, memorising words, phrases, and sentences alike... Ultimately this child will use all they've learned to predict and generate the best responses. That gives you (ChatGPT) which is powered by LLMs -- This is long enough already, that's my not-so-technical and novice understanding of LLMs If you found this educational, like and share with your people.
