Fresh insights into the $LMND tech stack from Shai Wininger on LoCo, their low-code core insurance system (LoCo). 

Here’s my attempt to explain the tech👇

➡️ LoCo, the “Heart”, provides the flexible, configurable framework for insurance product logic, rules, and workflows, which Blender then executes and automates in day-to-day operations. 

➡️ Blender, the “Brain”, is the back-end operations platform that  uses the configurations and business logic defined in LoCo to process claims, underwriting, fraud detection and customer interactions seamlessly.

➡️ Integrating these two decoupled
systems allows Lemonade to innovate rapidly (e.g., rolling out pet insurance or car insurance) while maintaining a highly automated and efficient operational backend at all times.

➡️ Together, with the infamous Jim and Maya chatbots, they enable Lemonade to deliver fast, AI-driven insurance experiences, scalability and minimal manual intervention, supporting the company’s goal of reinventing insurance from the ground up.
