Prez Trump and the U.S. flag praised on billboards in Damascus. It’s impossible to see such a “thank you America” anywhere in Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan or Egypt. This is how far ahead Syrians have become in switching sides from the “global south” that cheered for Assad killing them to the West that promises them economic growth and a bright future if they abandon the old anti West course.
