could @bronto_finance successfully replicate early success of @KittenswapHype?
that's the question we probably need to ask given the similarities between the two dexes.
thanks to @NelsonRodMar, @Solofunk_ and @Barthazian for input today.
numbers in table and thoughts ⤵️
i've changed my stance a little after various discussions, but i'm not flipping bullish just yet.
as @Barthazian pointed out, kittenswap is a fork of shadow dex which is a fork of aerodome.
bronto is to megaeth what kittenswap is to hyperevm.
bronto is running an almost identical playbook to kittenswap.
at peak, kittenswap nft minters were up about 30x, but of course their tokens were locked unless they took a XX% penalty.
bronto hasn't revealed penalty yet, but i expect it to be similar.
the kittenswap nft itself (mechacats) traded at a discount but was still up almost 20x at peak.
could bronto do similar numbers?
a few things to consider:
imho, i think it's risky for bronto to do a paid mint like this so early (feels bit extractive), but as i said, i do appreciate that teams need to raise funds to build/survive.
they are trying to frontrun additional competition.
