Vladimir Putin participates in the plenary session of the 17th BRICS summit via video link.
This year, the summit is being held under the chairmanship of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. The theme of the session is “Peace and Security, Reform of Global Governance”.
Together, we have a truly enormous political, economic, scientific, technological and human potential. The BRICS countries account for not only a third of the Earth’s land area and almost half of the planet’s population, but also XX percent of the world economy, and their combined GDP at purchasing power parity has already reached $XX trillion.
