How is it anything but reasonable to point out that he’s has gotten things much more wrong that actually had catastrophic effects? I claim people are straw manning me when they are, not to deflect from reasonable criticism. You can claim that all the evidence points to Trump not wanting a protracted war (I guess you would have to ignore him posting positively about regime change and the evacuation of Tehran) but, of course, that’s not the point. If Iran had not given advanced warning and had killed a bunch of Americans, we would likely be in a wider war and all that was achieved from taking that risk, was supposedly taking out a nuclear weapons program that never existed. I’m happy to admit when I’m wrong. I’m not seeing what I got wrong here. All you have is that I warned that this could be a catastrophe and it seems that it turned out not to be one (for now). But, as I’m sure you know, that proves nothing. Getting black out drunk, getting behind the wheel and coming home in one piece, does not in any way demonstrate that it was a good idea.
