quick question:

Why do XX% of fake/botted accounts use an Azuki PFP?

It’s not the most expensive NFT. They don’t own it. And yet they still pick it.

I remember when MAYCs filled the same role

My only theory is this:

It’s likely a function of supply.

MAYC had close to 20k, so it was easy to grab one that was listed and unused.

I assume it’s the same now with Elementals.

But it feels deeper than that.

Status is downstream of recognizability.

Maybe trust is too.

The sad part is, Azuki spent years building that recognizability. 

And now the same thing that made the brand valuable... makes it a free tool for scammers.
