For example: – Lux Capital is indeed a backer of Enigma Labs and has co-invested with Founders Fund elsewhere, but that’s not unusual in VC circles, is it? Co-investing in separate companies doesn’t establish a direct tie between Thiel and Enigma. – Balaji Srinivasan has received funding from Thiel in the past, but he alone can choose his own projects to fund later down the line without Thiel's influence. – Trevor McFedries is cited for speaking at Hereticon and being funded by Founders Fund, but again, he has his own pursuits and can fund independently. This kind of “guilt by association” is misleading. Sharing funding circles or overlapping networks is not the same as direct involvement. If anything, this list shows how interconnected the VC world is-not that Thiel is behind Enigma Labs. For example:
