New BBB Federal Student Loan Rules:

New loans (after 7/1/26) = X plans: Standard or RAP (1–10% income)

IDRs (SAVE, PAYE, ICR) = eliminated

Grad PLUS = eliminated

Parent PLUS = capped at $65K

Total fed loan cap = $267K

No hardship deferments

Forgiveness now needs Congress
