But when Tesla and Palentier communities were defending those companies, both companies had absolutely proven tech and rapidly growing revenues in the billions of dollars! I don’t know a single person who’s defending ASTS who is able to use their tech to make a phone call from their cell phone. If that already existed, then I would totally understand! ASTS has set this expectation that they will have worldwide coverage with just XX satellites, a feat that even Starlink couldn’t achieve until it hit over XXXXX satellites (and to communicate with Starlink you need a big ground antenna - the Starlink receiver). So we’re to believe that a single ASTS satellite can cover ~300,000 sq miles communicating with a tiny phone antenna and provide high speed video calls to the millions of people who live in that many sq miles all at the same time! And while none of that is proven to be viable, all the financial projections are based on this basic assumption. Anybody who says “this might not be feasible” is immediately told they haven’t dived deep enough in DD. The attackers say the brilliant community of ASTS shareholders are made from engineers and scientists who have done the due diligence. My experience is that the community is made from ignorant assholes who don’t know shit about science who hide behind anonymity! Show me a freakin antenna anywhere that can talk to millions of devices simultaneously in an area covering XXXXXXX sq miles. This is a requirement in order to have XX satellites providing continuous coverage over any region on earth.
