At least XX people are dead and more than XX people were unaccounted for after heavy rain lashed Texas, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, authorities said Friday.

Children are among the dead, and about XX campers from a summer camp in the area, Camp Mystic, were unaccounted for, according to officials.

Up to XX inches of rain has already fallen in Kerr County, about XX miles north of San Antonio, with the rain continuing on Friday evening.
