The scam unravelled when she threatened a woman SI, who reported it. The investigation revealed there was no record of either Mona Bugaliya or Mooli Devi in service. Mona was arrested. But Mona isn’t the main issue. The real question is, what kind of system does the police have? She trained at the academy for two years as a fake cop and no one noticed. What kind of documentation and security is this? You do police verification for everyone else, but not your own before they join the academy?
