I guess people already do it on video calls, pulling up ChatGPT or their notes beside the interface. Now, “shadow assistants” like Cluely, Cheating Daddy, and Glass turn every call into an AI-augmented performance with more sophisticated tools that read and listen in real time. @cluely by @im_roy_lee emphasises their glossy polish, first mover + viral marketing and bold “win at all costs” messaging, but it’s legally grey. @cheating_daddy by @soham_btw (not THAT Soham) is more of a hacker-friendly, totally free, and GPL-licensed, yet still gathers the same sensitive data. Lastly, Glass (@pickle_ai) by @leinadpark positions itself as the “free, trustable Cluely”, but had a bumpy start due to licensing issues (which has now been rectified).
