Warren Buffett just made his largest donation in over XX years — giving away $X billion in Berkshire Hathaway stock to charity.

The 94-year-old billionaire donated XXXXX million Class B shares to the Gates Foundation, the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, and three charities run by his children. This brings his total charitable giving to more than $XX billion since he began donating in 2006.

Buffett still holds XXXX% of Berkshire Hathaway stock and remains the world’s fifth-richest person with a net worth of $XXX billion, according to Forbes. He has said he won’t sell his shares and plans to give away nearly all of his fortune. 

In a recent update to his will, Buffett stated that XXXX% of his estate will go to a charitable trust managed by his children. They’ll have XX years after his death to distribute the funds — but only if they all agree on how.

Buffett’s giving hasn’t slowed his financial rise. In March, he was the top wealth gainer among the world’s richest, thanks to Berkshire’s strong stock performance. 

Still, this latest donation shows he’s sticking to his promise: to give most of it away.
