Trying to deliver aid in an active war zone is a dangerous operation and a constant reminder that violence surrounds all aid efforts and humanitarians in Gaza. The root cause of these incidents is desperation. Ultimately the solution is more aid, which will create more certainty and reduce the dangerous means by which aid-seekers attempt to secure aid. GHF continues to believe that safe, secure, and direct distribution is the most effective way to protect lives and ensure aid reaches those who need it most. We remain ready to share operational insights, expand access, and support the efforts of all aid organizations to deliver aid safely and effectively across Gaza. Statement from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) regarding the deadly attack on UN convoys today:
