It ignores the facts on the ground and undermines the very effort that is feeding hundreds of thousands of Palestinians every single day. The only actor weaponizing aid in Gaza today is Hamas. Hamas has murdered XX of our Palestinian aid workers, placed bounties on our American and Palestinian staff, threatened civilians for accepting food, and issued official decrees criminalizing cooperation with GHF. Hamas’s position is extremely clear: it would rather starve its own people than allow them to receive aid it does not control. That’s not speculation, it’s a matter of public record. Amnesty’s silence on these facts, and its willingness to echo false accusations while ignoring the reality of who is obstructing aid, is not just disappointing, it’s harmful.
