1️⃣ Topstep and Patrick Wieland officially parted ways in early 2024 after months of internal issues and disagreements.
To move on cleanly, Topstep paid him a $284K settlement in March 2024 — in exchange for confidentiality and non-disparagement.

But the drama didn’t stop.

2️⃣ The deal was straightforward:
• Don’t publicly attack Topstep
• Don’t leak internal or financial info
• Receive a $XXXXXXX payout 💰
Topstep now claims he broke both terms — with 50+ violations of each.

3️⃣ The complaint lists quotes where PW allegedly said:
• “They f***ed me over for millions of dollars and now I’m always gonna be butt hurt”
• “You know Topstep only got to where it is because of affiliates like me and TBM? I was bringing in over XX% of Topstep total revenue a month”
• “Project X shares trader data”
•“Topstep TV lost $400K last year live on YouTube.”
• “The CEO is always lying”
• “Topstep is dogsht”

All of it, now part of the lawsuit.

4️⃣ The contract includes $100K in damages per violation.
Topstep is demanding:
• $100K x 50+ confidentiality breaches
• $100K x 50+ disparagement breaches
• Plus attorney fees
💥 Total: $10M+

5️⃣ The lawsuit even quotes him saying:
“Go ahead and f***ing sue me.”
So they did.
Topstep officially filed the lawsuit on June 30, 2025.

🧨 TL;DR:
They parted ways.
PW was paid to stay silent.
He didn’t.
Now Topstep wants $10M+ in damages.
This could be one of the biggest influencer vs prop firm legal battles to date.
