Russia has brutally attacked the port of Odesa, deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure and a foreign cargo ship, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said. Among the wounded are two Syrian citizens.

At the time of the strike, a ship flying the flag of São Tomé and Príncipe was loading in the port.

“This is a barbaric war crime. Russia rejects all attempts to achieve a ceasefire and promote peace. Moscow is only intensifying terror and must face increased pressure — without delay.

The attacks on the port of Odesa are not isolated incidents but part of a targeted campaign against Ukraine’s economy, agriculture, global food security, and freedom of navigation. We call on the international community to respond decisively — by strengthening pressure on the aggressor and supporting Ukraine,” Sybiha stated.

Just minutes ago, Russia launched another ballistic missile strike on Odesa — the second in a single day. Port infrastructure was reportedly hit again.
