Salvador Valdiviezo, 35, a Navy veteran and father of four, was k*lled in a shootout with Texas police on June X

Police responded to a family violence call and found Valdiviezo armed in his driveway

A female officer ordered him to put his hands up before he opened fire

Officers returned fire and told Valdiviezo to get on the ground

Valdiviezo was sh*t in the chest and leg and died at the scene

The female officer was sh*t in the leg but quickly applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding

Valdiviezo was a registered nurse and honorably discharged from the Navy

It is unclear when he served and why he was relieved from duty
