I immediately ran to Facebook to see if she was talking about the same person I knew and saw his wall filled with comments asking if he was safe as the news had just broken about the bombings at the concert that he had attended and nobody had been able to make contact with him. It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life to find out a friend had passed away by having my most favourite artist announce it on social media. He was so amazing and hilarious. His Cheryl Cole impersonation was amazing. I remember his first message to me ever in 2013 was “I’m more famous than you” 🤣 Smart ass and so funny always. Thinking about the time I found out friend Martyn had passed away at the Ariana Grande Manchester bombing when Mariah Carey tweeted his name.
