US LIFTS CHIP SOFTWARE CURBS ON CHINA

The US just lifted export restrictions on chip design software to China in a trade truce move. Synopsys $SNPS and Cadence $CDNS  confirmed they're restoring access to Chinese customers after the Commerce Department reversed its May restrictions. Siemens EDA is also resuming China sales. This comes as China agreed to review rare earth export applications while the US cancels related curbs, aiming to stabilize critical tech supply chains.
