The Fed uses RRP to mop up excess liquidity by offering risk-free returns to money market funds. In 2021–2023, RRP balances surged to XXX trillion, starving markets of capital. By March 2025, RRP had dropped to 58.6B, signalling liquidity returning to risk assets like Bitcoin.

2025–2026 Outlook: If RRP continues to drain (e.g., due to Fed rate cuts or Treasury bill issuance), liquidity could flow back into crypto, mirroring the 2020–2021 cycle.
