The One Big Beautiful Bill claims $1.6T in cuts but still adds $3T to the debt through 2034 per CBO. Slashing mandatory spending sounds great until you realize the structural rot remains—$4T debt ceiling hikes and defense bloat like $144B for Armed Services pork.

Real reform requires permanent spending caps, killing cost-plus contracts, and auditing every line. This bill’s a start, but until we torch the bureaucratic machinery burning taxpayer cash, it’s just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
