Two things seem to drive them: slick marketing and whether @const_reborn gave a shoutout this week. Not a lot of attention is paid to the small matter of actual value - like whether the idea behind the subnet is any good, or if the team can execute it without tripping over their own feet. As Benjamin Graham put it, “in the short run, the market is a voting machine, but in the long run, it is a weighing machine." And when the weighing starts, some of these subnets are going to melt faces. Benjamin didn’t say the bit about melting faces, admittedly, but the point stands. The ones with real use cases and execution chops won’t stay at $10-50M market caps. Smart money’s circling - just look at the six new Bittensor treasuries in the last XX days: @SafelloAB, @oblong_inc, @synaptogenix, @Catenaiplc, @tensorsuisse, @xtaohq. More will follow. The smart money won’t be interested in the subnets who are all mouth and no trousers. They’ll be backing subnets anchored to a clear commercial use case and a credible plan to deliver it.
