i do not care about the performance aspect and i've had to do more perf spelunking outside react than inside react

in solid i appreciate the following
- can use in jquery mode - everything is normal dom elements, grabbing them and modifying is fine
- updating state is synchronous (although this is changing) so i know the UI is updated in the line after `setState`
