Might be basic for physics folks, but with just Class XII-level knowledge, I found it fascinating. Imagine you have a pair of dice. You keep one in Delhi and send the other to a friend in New York, and after that, you have no way to communicate. Now, whenever you roll your die and get a 6, theirs also shows a X. Or whatever you get, theirs is instantly correlated, every single time, with no delay. This is how quantum entanglement works, a real, proven physics concept that forms the basis of quantam mechanics and that earned the 2022 Nobel Prize. Two particles become so deeply linked that measuring one instantly determines the state of the other, "even across galaxies". It defies our classical understanding of space, time, and cause-effect. Entanglement questions the idea that things exist independently and only interact locally. It suggests the universe isn’t a neighborhood of separate houses, each with its own wiring, but more like different tabs open on the same browser, they may look independent, but they’re all running on the same system underneath. Everything, it seems, might be running a single source quietly syncing it all. The more we think we know, the more the universe reminds us that we’ve only scratched the surface.
