There are many reasons I like the international Bitcoin Treasury Companies. But one eye opening experience, in particular, woke me up to the power of home markets.

Growing up, I remember my dad often looking at a product and saying "I want to see an address in the USA" before he would buy it.

Years later, I was talking with my Korean father-in-law who was expressing some doubt about a product. I unthinkingly flipped the box over and said, "It has a USA address, looks good to me."

His response startled me, but in retrospect, should have been obvious.

He said, "No, no, I want to see a Korean address."

Some of it is, no doubt, patriotic pride, but it runs deeper than that. People also want the comfort of knowing that if there's ever any kind of problem they can seek redress. To my father-in-law, the US was a far-away unreachable place.

Every distinct market is going to have its own hometown hero Bitcoin Treasury Company.
