Since we didn’t record @BrosOnTheGreen this week. Going to add a quick write up for some of my plays: 🧵 👇
Cam Young 28-1:
- Course history: Has played great here in his only X appearances. T2 in 2022 & T6 in 2024. I felt he had control of the tournament last year before he snapped his driver after hitting a poor drive on hole XX.
- X Top 10s (2 Top 5s) in his last X starts.
- Even though he didn’t win the RBC Canadian Open, Cam showed he was mentally in a different spot in contention than we have seen before. He doesn’t make that XX foot par putt that he had on XX earlier in his career. He then stepped up and hit two perfect shots into the 72nd hole while trailing by X (Yes I know he air mailed the green but I don’t care it was beautiful).
- Top XX putter on The PGA Tour this year (9th in SG: Putting). Courses like Detroit Golf Club tend to become putting contests and Cam has been one of the best Putters on tour this year.
- He also has just finally found something with his ball striking. Irons have not been great but they are much better than what he showed to start this season (Positive in SG: Approach last X weeks).
- Overall, with his ball striking coming into form and how elite the Putter has been I believe the time is coming for Can to finally get that first win on The PGA Tour.
